Michael Russ
Mike Russ, born and raised in Hagerstown, MD, has become the first member of his family to attend a four-year institution and the first in his family to seek a graduate degree.
In 2005, he was fortunate to have the opportunity to attend one of Maryland’s elite Boarding Schools (Saint James School), leaving his public-housing community with greater aspirations and the desire to be able to one day give back to his community in a meaningful way.
Through hard work, blessings, and incredible mentorship, he attended and graduated from Coastal Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance, with a focus in Wealth Management. Through these years, he has made a conscious effort to give back to his community and become a mentor to those who come from a similar background. Mike Russ is currently a third-year law student at Emory University School of Law and a member of Emory Law’s Black Law Student’s Association and Lamar Inn of Court.
Mike Russ has approximately two years’ experience with a boutique litigation firm in Midtown Atlanta, GA and is a shareholder/owner of the start-up company Ponix, LLC. He is able to use his experiences, perspective, and education in a manner to bring creative solutions to complex problems at the intersection of both law and business.
